Olympus XA Disappointment

I've always wanted to try the Chinon ... it has a good reputation. And I really liked my C35, though it isn't the same self-contained format as the XA and Chinon.

But why do people complain about the zone focus on the XA2? I mean, if you don't care for zone focus, don't buy one! When used properly it produces nice results. It just is what it is. My first 35mm camera was a C35V, which was zone focus. It was all I could afford at the time; I never thought I was being short-changed just because Konica couldn't sell me an RF at the same price. Nice thing about the C35V was that the lens was the same as in the C35; only the RF was missing.

Well if you find a Xa2 for $3 in your local flee market you don't really care if it has zone focus... Why not a meter or foot scale instead of that person or a mountain?

BTW a sample of Chinon Bellami pics, x-processed... one B/W...

Wow ... that Chinon is a beautiful friend.

I dunno ... ask Olympus I guess. Maybe just because the mountain was there? ;)

Eh, just curious, being relatively new to the forum, how can I start the motion to move a thread to a proper forum? Like this one would be good/educational/useful to be in the new Olympus RF forum, no?
