Consider me a fan. While I love my Leica and my Bessa, there are certain times when it is impractical or inconvenient to carry a camera around your neck.

I ordered a Olympus XA from Kenmore Camera (I recommend them) and took a roll of Ektar this weekend.

Notice the small American flag by the third mast. (Much Larger photo here)

Here's a 4800 dpi scan on a Epson V500 of the flag

Very nice picture!!!
I was wondering what that spanish coat of arms' flag was doing there (top left).... then I realised it is the spanish navy school-ship "Juan Sebastian Elcano"... Nice to see that 😉

BTW, I just loaded yesterday a roll on my XA... love that camera!!

It certainly was a nice looking ship and it's a great camera. Now I just loaded some Tri-X into it.

I just wonder why I never got one earlier?

I have a short collection of XA's and OM's. I always loved the XA. Just a great pocket camera, good auto exposure and the rangefinder seemed pretty accurate.
