OM-1 question about film advance

Hi, could you tell me if it is normal to feel some resistance as you advance the film? It happens just before I finish advancing the film. When I watch with the back of the camera open there is a metal bar on the shutter that passed across. Does it catch just before the release is set? I'm curious if it should be so strong, because the advance is not completely smooth.

I think this is normal, setting the latch requires more effort.
