I'm quite proud to say that I've finally dropped all my Canon DSLR gear in favour of a new OM-D. It's an absolutely brilliant camera - tiny, great lenses, and super fast. Anyway, I had one question about it that I was hoping some of the experts here could solve, since I haven't found it anywhere else.
Does anyone know if the camera is still weather-sealed with the hot shoe and accessory port covers removed? I hate having them on in case I ever want to attach the pop-up flash for fill.

good question that i've never seen addressed. if you find an answer let us know, i took off the hot shoe cover first thing so it would be good to know if that's needed for weather protection while using the 12-50.

On the E-1/E-3/E-5 I've read the hot shoe cover doesn't matter. I would think that things like flash sync port and stuff do however need to be covered.
