Oh Jeez, I sure am a Zuikoholic and a third-party 'holic too, it seems!
In addition to more than a few Zuiko primes, I already have the Olympus 35-105, Tokina 35-135, and the Tokina 28-85.... I have a history of really liking Tokina lenses....So why did I bite on a ebay auction for another Tokina, this one a 28-135?! Starting bid was only $50,so I bid the $50 expecting to get outbid eventually. I didn't and I won it.
Why do I keep doing this????

This lens I got as Repair/AS-IS from the 'bay. The back "guard" ring is mangled beyond comprehension, but the optical, focusing, and aperture is working just fine 😕

So I just took the ring off and try it on my OM-3, no light leaks. 🙂

You're damn lucky I am no good with the 24mm focal length, or I'd have to kill you.

I have a tough time with 24mm as a focal length. I don't know why, but it's just not quite...right for me. I like 21mm, and I love 28mm, but 24mm is in this perspective no man's land for me.
 
That sounds strange to me, that 21 would work for you when 24 didn't. My struggles with the 24 kept me from even attempting to use a 21. I certainly haven't thrown in the towel with regard to the 24mm length, I just recognize that I need a lot more practice. I also do well with a 28.

Being a lens ludite I confess I had to go and have a gander because I've never looked at the front end ... I'm usually looking through it from the back! 😛

There's an MC on the front ring so I gather that means it's multi coated?

Yep, and the MC lenses usually go for a premium. My older, chrome-nose 35/2 was underwhelming.

I know, go figure. My problem was never with distortion or keeping the camera level, it was just with the field of view. I guess I never thought it was wide enough in comparison to 28mm? I like 21mm but you can easily lose all perspective of just how wide and vast landscapes are without a foreground subject anchoring your image. I tend to use my 21mm with the subject less than 2 meters away. I really like it for interior shots and "environmental portraiture."
