OM, I've become a Zuikoholic!

From a friend's baby shower. (She's also the florist)

Thanks for that advice. In the meantime I also found a screw-on metal hood for Minolta 24mm f/2.8 lens that fits the Zuiko 24mm f/2. Hope that helps someone in the future.

Funny how the filter diameter of f/2.8 lenses of other brand/ makes fits the Zuiko f/2s.:D

Mint Mint all the way! Congrats!

Nice neck strap. Where did you buy it?

Hi guys! I'm now a part of the om family!

After a week with a faulty 2s (quite upsetting as I love it's spot metering) I took it back for a nice silver 2n with a 50/1.4 which is in great nick. I also had to get the 24 2.8 as it is my favourite focal length and was a bargain for the condition it was in! Tested some lomo 50-200 redscale in it and it's a gem! Will post a couple of print scans when I get back home next week!

New York is a perfect city for the 2n+24mm :) love it!

Welcome! This is perhaps an engagement for life!

New Portra 400 with stocking over the 50 f/1.4. I don't usually scan negs. Why is it so grainy?

Even at that small size I can tell it is grain aliasing. Try turning down the auto sharpening on your scanner. Portra 400 is a very fine grained film and scans easily, so you shouldn't have an issue getting a good scan. Nice photo, btw.

I took my OM2 out for night of Live Blues and Crawfish last friday. The shots below were taken with the 135/3.5 and 28/2.8

Thanks Nikku, I shall give it a go. I was just using the presets because I have no idea what I'm doing.

This thread is just amazing. Starts in March 2009 till 2011! There is some serious OM love here. As for me, I am an OM newbie just started my quest in the journey in Hong Kong. I met a guy who showed me his OM system a month ago and I know I have to get one. OM's are not crazy popular here but there's still a nice community with good spirits. I recently purchase a minty OM-2N in black with 50/1.8 mij and now I am looking for a black OM-1. Now I understand human (or just myself) have never ending desire....haha. I will post some pix of my camera and shoots in the future. GLAD TO BE IN THE OM FAMILY!!

Keep this thread going~~~~~~~

Welcome to the fold.
Zuikoholism is a benign addiction compared to some other brands :D

I am seriously thinking of getting an OM2 (maybe a 1) and letting fate come as it may for acquiring any good lenses (no money for them atm, at ebay/keh prices). It would be no big loss to get rid of my FE for one since I have one good lens (24 2.8) and a decent zoom lens.

Have just tried out my OM2n on holiday in Cornwall, and I like it!
