It worked out very well. I found the 135 to be a better fit for the larger tube than the 50. I just snagged a Vivitar Macro Focusing TC. They seem to be pretty hard to come by in the OM mount, but I lucked up and found one in mint condition at a good price. It's specifically designed for 1:1 magnification with a 50mm lens, so I expect to get some good results. It'll be a lot easier to hand hold, that's for sure.
 
Finally got some film developed from my OM-2sp. I think the machine at CVS needs to be cleaned and filled with new chemistry. I have white spots on all scans from three brands of film. Some are obviously dust, but some have to be from dark spots on the negs which means the manchine is filthy. :bang:

I took my OM2n out with the 85/2 and 135/2.8 to the Tour de Luxembourg on Saturday, here is my favourite from a first pass through the scans, taken with the 85/2:

You'll enjoy this. I've had one for while and with the 50mm 1.4 you've effectively got a 100mm 2.8, and the results are excellent. It's also not bad as a 2x but it excels in macro mode.

I think I've got the instructions somewhere that I typed up from an old sheet. It gives settings for use as a macro or a 2x but it's not difficult to figure out. Let me know if you need it and I'll have a look.
 
Came into an 18 this week. Nearly cried when I realized the front element had a massive rub mark that is optically visible. Seller's trying to discount it. psch. It certainly is conveniently sized for what it does, though.
 
I finally took the plunge and paid the money for a late version 35mm f2. The old version I've been using is OK but I've always wanted to try the late version for myself to see if it is shaper and less flare prone. Also my early version is pretty worn and battered.

Maitani needs to stop peppering the classifieds with his unwanted OM treasures ... this is twice he's got me now! 😛
 
My OM-3 arrived yesterday and it is quite beautiful. My eyesight is such that I can't read the meter display but I'm under treatment and should improve.

But I had never owned or even held an OM-3 before and it is an impressive tiny machine. I don't think there is any Leica that would satisfy me more.

Now my collection is almost complete or maybe it is complete. I have one of all the main OM's now except an OM2-S and I think I can survive without that one.

I just want to say, "Thank you Digital" for making all these great film cameras available for prices I can afford.

Congratulations on the OM-3. I also received one from a fellow forum member here recently and I was very impressed with the camera. The readout it is a little hard to see at times but rather that than some glowing red display that distracts the hell out of you!

Metering doesn't come any better than what this camera offers IMO. 🙂

I still prefer my OM-1 for it's ultimate simplicity though!

The two cameras I bought last:

The Beauty: Her ladyship (is that the correct title for an OM-1?) looks almost like new and works very well. I use the adaptor for the battery I bought for my 35 RC and 35 SP. The first Elitechrome is already developed and looks really good!

The Beast: Why, oh why did I buy it? :bang: I never wanted a camera that big! But I guess it was just fate: I found it in the last 5 minutes of the auction and managed to place my bid 1 second (!) before the auction ended. That beast looks almost like new and damn, I like it 😀
I am still waiting for the results from the first Elitechrome.

Anyone wants my F100? :angel:
 
Two totally different cameras, but both great for themselves! 🙂

I wouldn't pass the F5, because it's just so convenient.
But if you just want to give it away for free, I want it. 😀
 
Finally got an OM1 in my hands, and is that thing small. Kind of funky operations too. I can see why someone would be drawn to the camera system. But it wasn't for me. I liked my Leicaflex better for several reasons, and my big hands just didn't cope with the OM's controls.
