I was out this morning running some errands and doing some camera "shopping" (browsing is more like it), and wound up scoring a couple NOS hoods for my OM's. It was strange shopping, because in the past I have walked right on by the OM stuff and gone straight to the Nikon sections. Today I spent most of my time checking out different Zuiko lenses and OM stuff and barely even glanced at the Nikon stuff...
I got a metal screw in hood for my 28/3.5 and a slip on/set screw rubber hood that fits a few different lenses: 50/1.4, 50/1.8, 35/2.8. The metal hood is no longer NOS.

Can you help me with pricing an om1 set ?
Om1 black - some brassing at the edges, otherwise everything works
zuiko 35 f2 - late sn. with original box - would say mint
zuiko 50 1.4 - late sn. exc
zuiko 85 f2 - late sn - user condition, there's something on the front element. With a CLA it should be gone ( it's not a scratch )
got an offer for 500 euro ? Is it a good deal

Id sell for that much wouldn't buy though. It's a fair price, not a deal IMO.

I had the good luck of acquiring a very lightly used OM1n and a Zuiko 50/1.8. Even came with a functioning battery (non-mercury), but I'm not sure whether the circuitry was modified for modern batteries. Currently running a test roll, to make sure that the lightmeter is accurate.
I wish I had discovered the OM system earlier. Perhaps it's due to the initial infatuation period, but I'm enjoying the user experience.

Not sure if I should get another OM1 or OM4T for a little more $$...

I have one. Like all other OM Zuiko's it's a very good lens.
I remember test reports when the OM1 came out in '72, saying that there might be lenses in the market that where just as good, but no better ones.

I've just got a really brassed black paint OM1 with 50 1.4 lens. I've put an olive soft release on it and I'm waiting for my matching olive strap. I'm going for a 'Vietnam' vibe.
My test roll is being developed as we speak!

Finally managed to get a roll processed for which I used Zuiko 50mm f1.4 (mid 900,000 serial number). Pleased with its sharpness and particularly with its soft bokeh. While the 50mm f1.8 mij may be slightly sharper, it has a more harsh bokeh and more clinical look.

I only had one camera and one lens when I was married. That was awhile back.

That is an extremely impressive collection sreed2006. If you happen to have a list of those lens would you care to share? I'd love to see it for curiosity sake.
