OM, I've become a Zuikoholic!

Every time I see this thread, it does stir up Olympus GAS.

My conundrum: I have 4 SLR systems now; it's too much. I'd like to get it down to two, but I just don't have the guts to go through with it.

EOS - I have a 630 and an A2. Lenses are just a Quantaray (Sigma) 24/2.8 and Canon 35-135 4-5.6 USM. This is my AF system. I'd like to add a simple tele zoom (cheap) and a 35/2. (not cheap)

Nikon AI - Nikon FG with a few sweet lenses: 35/2, 105/2.5, 135/3.5, 28/3.5, 50/1.8 pancake, 50/1.4, Tokina 28-85/3.5-4.5, Vivitar (Kiron) 75-205/3.8. I really like the metal shutter; feels like it's not going to die of old age, as cloth shutters eventually do. Thinking of adding an FM2N or a N90s/F90s.

Canon FD - This is on the block, but not worth much. I have a nice FTb with Canon 50/1.8 and 135/3.5, 300/4.5 plus an Albinar 28/2.8 "macro"

Olympus - My grandpa's OM1N with 28/3.5, 50/1.8, 135/3.5 and a Tokina 75-150/3.8. I'd like to add an OM2N and a 35/2.8 or 35/2. I feel like it's more delicate (esp. the shutter) than the Nikons, so I've been hesitating. Also, lower flash sync speed.

Talk me into taking a leap!

I've got these:

The 2 is my favourite.

I only have the OM-1n... sometimes I think about getting an OM-2... but which one of the OM-2? Om-2n? OM-2sp?... I would be great to have the AE function.

I like the pictures you are sharing in this thread... thank you for sharing!

Here one more. I made it in 2014. Here you have it:

I think it is a beautiful lens to have.

Mine came as part of the kit when I bought my OM1n, and I always assumed I’d ‘upgrade’ to a f2.8 or f2 at some point (I have a fondness for 28’s). The more I use it though, the more I think it will stay. And it’s such a compact kit when paired with an OM1!

I had the f/2.8 too but i stupidly sold it. In terms of sharpness they are both just as good. The 2.8 has the advantage of a brighter viewfinder (easier to focus), it is multicoated (flares less, but i have a lens hood on my 3.5) but has also more vignetting at f/3.5. I might be wrong but I think that the 3.5 has less distortion (but this is debatable..). The 3.5 has an element more than the 2.8 and that might have to do something with that.

Have a look on my blog here about the 28 f/2.8:
