om2n reparatur

If you're a little skilled with tools you could try the DIY repair:
- The shutter electromagnet often gets dirty on OMs (2, 10, 20). It's located under the "floor" of mirror box. Piece of tissue soaked in naphta or Rosonol should help.
- There are several variable resistors which sometimes need cleaning (meter VR under shutter speed ring, ASA VR on galvanometer housing, manual speed VR on bottom side of main circuit board)
- Also you might want to take a look here

Lehmanns in the UK did a not cheap but excellent job on my OM-2n (which had worn gears in the film transport) about 3 years ago.

They also "re-repaired" a Winder 2 that another Olympus specialist hadn't fixed properly/at all. (The same specialist company that "fully serviced" at not inconsiderable cost, a 35RC without replacing or cleaning out any of the rotten light trapping foam and "fully serviced" the OM-2n 6 months before Lehmanns had to repair it! I guess I'd better not name them, perhaps I was unlucky...?!?)
