I just got one of these Omega B-22 enlargers practically free.....I've assembled it, all went well. The only problem seems to be that with a 50mm lens and 35mm neg, when I raise it to the correct height to get an 8"x10" enlargement, the image is off the base due to the forward tilt of the rail....in other words my easel is half-on, half-off the front of the baseplate.
Anybody?

Most likely you do not have the supplementary condenser installed. It sits on top of the two paired condensers. For 35mm (50mm lens) you would have three condensers installed, for 2-1/4 (80mm lens) you would just have the two. Access for the supplementary is done by removing the lamphouse (knurled screws just above the filter drawer).

Very strange, I am able to do 11x14 with 35mm on the baseboard (B-22, not the B-22XL). I am going to assume that the condensers are arranged as follows:

Bottom one flat down, separation spacer, middle one flat up, supplementary one flat down.

This should work.
