Is there anyone here that thinks the G 35mm F2 is as sharp as a Leica 35mm F2 ???

I understand your question may arise from comments that the 35mm Planar is the least-excellent of the G series lenses. I dunno, I haven't made any resolution tests. I think this lens has a really nice character. Might well be sharper than some 35 'crons and not others, as there are various Summicron generations.
I picked a couple of somewhat similar photos to compare, both with the lenses wide open or maybe f/2.4. First one is the Summicron 8-element, second is the 35 Planar, then a 100% crop out of the Planar shot. What do you think?

When I shoot my 35 or 45 at f2 I use a slow speed too. So a lot of the potential is blurred by my shaking hands 😉

Dougg, I'm impressed with your ability to handhold your camera at low shutter speeds!
That said, IMO the only way to truly compare the 'look' of lenses is to absolutely minimize the number of variables. IOW, shoot the same film and develop it at the same time. Make pix on a solid tripod of the same scene at the same f/stops. Process for viewing the same way and THEN compare the images.
In my experience, the differerences between fine lenses like these are usually subtle and in details like microcontrast and bokeh.
