I purchased the package a few months ago but haven't started testing it yet. It looks good, however.

I plan to buy a new computer a little later this year and, when I do, I will no longer install any of the Adobe software other than DNG Converter on it. That will be the change-over point, and I'll use RAW Power, Luminar, Affinity Photo, and/or On1 in the place of Lightroom and Photoshop.

I already use Affinity Photo instead of Photoshop... PS CS5.1 no longer works correctly on macOS Mojave. And LR 6.14 perpetual license is on its last legs.

It looks as if the ON software is worth getting for $50. I need such a software to manipulate image files for spatial maps in my research projects. I was told by IT that PS must be leased with a monthly cost of $25 or so as educator. I tried using the free software GIMP, but I find it difficult to use.

I just got it. Like many others it needs a more powerful PC than I own.
That’s become increasingly my problem to. Same issue with DXO and the latest Nik updates they have been offering, and, of course, with Adobe, subscription or not.
Of course, when I needed a new battery for my 2011 MacBook Air, the Apple Store said it was no longer supported, and that I needed to go to a store that dealt with “vintage” equipment (I did find a third party solution):)

Yeah I just bought a new computer because my current one could no longer adequately utilize imaging software. Let alone large files from my digicam.

That should give people something to think about when they are thinking about buying huge mp kameras like the new 61mb Sony. They are going to need a computer w/ serious processing power, and some serious memory to save those files.

I have been using ACDSee Pro for years, but like a fool I upgrade every year and now it is slow as hell. Where's Picassa when we need it?:bang:
