Having read about your very good reputation on this and other forums and lists, assuming your decription of this conflict is reasonably true, and considering the fact the mentioned buyer prefers to stay anonymous in this thread, I would say, just forget him. He has probably broken the spare parts himself while trying to tinker them together, and now wants to blame you for that. He has no chance with his complaint whatever he pretends. He's bluffing and the rude way HE deals is way inferior to YOUR very accommodating business style. You have done far more than you would be expected and you don't owe this guy anything.
