I am really going to try this.
For 2 reasons:
1. The absolute mysticism and intimacy of it. and
2. I am short on money
So here it is:
M6 and a CV 35/1.7
Why this choice?
The M6 is... well an M6. Small, solid and direct to the point.
The CV 35/17 is also small (takes 39mm filters) has a creamy signature and relatively cheap. Started on June 1st.

would you consider one type/brand of film too to keep the consistency?
I have decided on Fuji Press Color 800 ISO because it is so versatile. If it gets too grainy then I will PP it with Noise Ninja. Plus I keep an ND 2 filter to tone it done in bright light. And I will confess I have been known to PP the color to B/W then use DXo Film Pack to give it the "look,"

See what I mean by the "look"!!!:D:D

Nice combo Akiva, & a smart man too because you never mentioned how long you were planning on doing this!:D
As long as I can keep GAS away and ignore all my other fine equipment. There is a certain satisfaction in being intimate with one body, one lens so I really want to give it a go.

I think that if I could ever go with one film setup for that long, it would have to be tiny, so probably a Pen EE2, or the Hexar AF if I could live with 1 year of distorted lines.

Has anyone ever thought about going a year without photoshop or cropping? How about a month?

What's photoshop and what's cropping?
I do know photoshop keeps cropping up on threads so thought it was some sort of fungus attack chaps had.

That's the key thing against GAS, IMO. Don't make the mistake of selling everything else.

My first Leica M was an M2 (I still have it; t's in my avatar) and 35mm Summaron. It kept me happy for a long while. Then I added a 90mm Elmarit. Still have that, too! The two-lens outfit was all I had for maybe 10 years. Then things started to accumulate . . .

I did it once for three months, with an evil SLR I must admit (FM2n). It did me good. I don't carry much equipment anymore as I know now I can do with less.
