I enjoyed specially the use of wideangle, the landscape pictures with the crossroads, and the pictures with the dog nd the mirror of your car + the picture of the guitar player (N°28) are really super. I'll look again with my wife tonight. Bravo

Very good. Looks a bit like the rural area where I grew up in the 40's and 50's.

Great stuff! I was just down there in October for the first time. Really enjoyed my time photographing there. I was at the New Roxy as well, talked with the owners of the place really nice people, too bad there wasn't a show like what you saw!

That's sooo great! You have more video? How many people were at that show? Man, I would really love to go back and see a show! Did you go to Red's or Ground Zero?
I've got about 30 images from Memphis and Mississippi on my blog just scroll down a bit, from the "Down South" series. www.35photo.blogspot.com

Yeah, that place is cool! We did the video for a workshop promo we are working on. Should be ready to go by the end of the week.
Just 10 or so at the "show". We set everything up, most of it worked the way we wanted it too, kind of new to the dSLR video world. How Hollywood tames fire I'll never know. Zeiss 100 macro used for the video.
I saw the Holga MS image on your blog Marko, very cool.

Hey, Red is my buddy! You know Red thinks you are OK when about 1AM he pulls out that bottle of "white whiskey" and pours you a drink. All on the house of course since he would never risk selling untaxed liquor. You have to stay with Rat at the Riverside inn to really appreciate Clarksdale. It is walking distance from Red's but through what may appear to be a sketchy neighborhood. Rat told me to just tell everyone that you are coming from Red's and staying with Rat and they won't f*** with you. And, I can swear it is true.
Ground Zero is OK, but after a while reminds me of Disney World (I was born and live in metro Orlando and know the difference)
But the really good place is Rosedale, back in the alley where everyone hangs out. Good people if you have a good perspective, don't mind drinking a few, or having a toke or two.
Betty Guetoe from Rosedale. She will be you escort around town. She appreciates another tall Steel Reserve malt liquor but it is only $1-

Or, see Rosevelt Dudley. He is a sharp dresser.

Sorry, distracting the thread but everything was shot with a Mamiya 7 on 120 Neopan 400.

Yep, the Delta is one of my favorite places. If you happen to be in Greenwood, go out Money Road to the WABG studios. It is in the middle of a cotton field, you cannot miss it by the big red and white antennas. The DJ and station manager is James Poe, know as "Poe". Knock on the door, wait for a break , and say hello. It is a real treat. We did an on air interview about a photo exhibit I had at the Center for Study of Southern Culture at Ole Miss. Then I recorded some promos for them. I always stop and see him.
I see you are from NOLA. If you happen to be down in the bayou around Hopedale, please check on Charlo Inbanet for me. Everyone in Hopedale knows him since he is an old coonass who was the only survivor of those who did not evacuate for Katrina. His oyster boat is gone, his house is gone, and I am afraid he will be a late Katrina victim. I have not heard from him in a year and am concerned.
When at home, if you see a 50ish bald guy with a M6 shooting street people in the quarter, say hello to Phil DeVries. He's a real good friend.

So you went to the Robert Johnson gravesite just north of Greenwood, not the one in Quito MS or the one outside Morgan City? Amazing how little is factually known about his life and death.
Muddy Waters says the only time he heard Robert Johnson was sitting on this bench in front of Hirschberg's store in Friar's Point MS. On the same bench a few years ago, Frank James Reddick, on right, explained that he had been shot three times in the head and four times in the chest back 31 years ago. He said he "just ain't been right ever since". Otis Giles, in background, confirmed his analysis.
