Just how much R&D do you expect Leica to sustain? They are a small company that is struggling financially, and they now need to master technologies well outside their area of mechanical and optical competence to come up with compelling digital offerings. The S2 is a gutsy bet-the-company project that I am surprised they had the resources to pull off, specially with 9 lenses at launch.

I read on one of the forums that they had one last surprise for Wednesday. This isn't me expecting them to sustain R&D, just a question about news from Photokina.
