What does this oft-heard sayings have to do with a black Olympus 35 SP, an afternoon at a HUGE fleamarket and a plain good ol' black and white photos?

Read about it here.

Oh, and the usual teaser:

Yes, nice day out with the 35-SP. I got mine a few weeks ago and i has become my camera of choice in that short amount of time. Mine was "one man's trash", I bought it from a thrift store for $10.

I love photo essays and this was an enjoyable one.

Thanks for the chance to visit the market with you. Nice writeup and photos too. Hard to pick a favorite, but the pig sign is a keeper.

capitalK: that's one heck of a deal 😱 I've just sold my other 35 SP (the chrome one) to cover its own cost with enough spare to get several rolls of film.

oftheherd: Man that fleamarket is massive, at the end of the day, there were still rows after rows of "stuff" to be seen. No pigs in sight, though 😀

Haha, I can't find one that is interesting enough 🙂

I did pick up some 20 images of Yellowstone Nat. Park made by a local studio over there probably in the 50's. For $5, it's a wealth of study on how to make beautiful b&w landscape pictures.

I plan to scan them and share them here. Just need to get some free time.
