One of my Europeans 2006 exhibition images has been published in the September 2007 issue of the UK magazine Black & White Photography .on page 33.

I knew this one was coming but it is cool to finally see in the magazine.

Pick up a copy or you can click here to see the photograph on my web site. The magazine is available in the US in most major bookstores.

Dave.

Congratulations, that's a very neat shot.

Did you do something to "fix" the facade of the cathedral? It looks strangely rectlinear. Nice photo, too.

I assumed that was the perspective stretching effect that you see with any ultra-wide. We're used to seeing it in landscape format pictures but here it's portrait format so it looks particularly unusual.

I thought it might have been DxO'ed.

Wow, congrats - Black & White Photography is the best UK photo mag there is, imo. (I've been away and haven't got my copy yet this month - I now have one more reason to rush out and get it tomorrow).

Drat - here in NL I managed to buy the August and October editions, but somehow missed the September one, dohhhhh.

Well done for the recognition ! Do you do autographs ???

maybe a little perspective control

maybe a little perspective control

Nope. I don't remember for sure but I may have pulled bit on the edges using the perspective control when cropping. I've definitely been known to do this...

Do you enlarge every photo your take or do you develop the film and then scan it? I have seen where this might cut down on the cost and time. In the old days sending BW film anywhere was easy now with color processing they have done away with BW printing unless I use the one that Kodak has which I don't know how good it is.
