If who owned the camera (much LESS the receipt) matters, does that have the sightest influence on how it takes pictures?

There's a story that Steve Gandy (of CameraQuest fame) managed to acquire Garry Winogrand's much-used Leica M4. It had had so much film run through it that there was supposedly a worn area on the pressure plate. I forget the price he was aking - but I think I'd have shopped Evil-bay instead.

Some people can get awfully turned on by celebrity, but others will just yawn.

I'm surprised he never ate the M3... I mean.. in amongst all the Big Macs and such I'm sure he could have just as easily picked it up and shoved it in his mouth 😀

I think Steve Gandy just photographed the camera, he didn't sell it. Winogrand's widow gave it to a neighbor.

As for Brando's camera... He, he, he... I got a surprise for you, folks! 😱

I had them. But it didn't make any better pictures. So I sold it.🙂

I think Sonny Bono's rather average M3 went for about $1500......I know Ian Anderson (of Jethro Tull fame) has one, and I offered to buy it from him on his website, but I told him it would have to be for less than Sonny's because he wrote "I Got You Babe"......
No answer, screw 'im if he can't take a joke.......either he's thick as a brick, or living in the past.....
