I've decided to commence a "photo a day" project for the year, trying to get into a habit of taking one photo every day, even the most mundane and routine.

I'm also combining this with a "one camera, one lens" project, though not an exclusive use as I've chosen to do this with my Agfa Billy Record 6x9 folder.

It has advantages for the "photo per day" aspect as it folds down into something I can have with me at all times and only takes 8 shots per film and therefore I'll get to see the results quicker than if I used a 36-exp 35mm film.

Of course it will require 46 rolls of 120 rather than 10 rolls of 36-exp to capture the year but I have some stocks of ageing 120 that could do with using up (which is why I'm not sticking with one film).

Has anyone else tried something similar? Any tips for maintaining enthusiasm once the initial interest wanes?

Did the same with the same camera a decade ago.

I picked a topic (7) for each day of the week and went with that, kept motivation up.
E.g. people with glasses on Monday, architecture Tuesday, landscape Wednesday, random people taking a photo of myself on Thursday etc.

It was fun and did not get old that way.
