Today I started a guessing game (see the thread: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44369) and Burninfilm expressed quite well my first intention. Let me quote him:

"Could it be, that despite many tests and discussions here about lens "signature" here at RFF, that it is difficult to tell what lens made what photograph? Furthermore, does this show that these determinations of lens signature can be opinionated? There's nothing wrong with opinions, of course, until they start being passed around as photographic fact. What we need is a list of several pictures, along with a corresponding list of lenses utilized to render the images. This would provide an interesting chance to see if lens signatures can actually be identified. I bet that even with this information, 100% of the people questioned would not answer every choice correctly. Hmm... this gives me an idea for a future thread!" (Burninfilm)

Would play the game then?

You can post your own picture, 900 is the max width on RFF. So it would be best that you post a resized picture in this thread and you store the original scan (let say 1800 wide) on your own page (Flickr, PBase ...) and put a link here. Pictures should be minimally photoshopped (just some contrast, levels and dust cleaning, that's it). Once a picture has been discussed, you can post another one.
Each guess should be justified. After a few hours, please give the right answer ... like you, I hate waiting too long for the answer 😉

Who's starting? 🙂
