Minimalism is an old concept. What I'm doing is going out w/ an empty camera AND an empty mind.
well...at least I don't have to worry about CLA....
Mine will need one soon. Infinity focus is lost, the lens has no fungus but it's scratched like hell.I had my eyes CLA'd last month, added a new set of lenses too. The frames are black for stealth street looking.
If I'm using the Hasselblad SWC I'll frequently leave the camera in the bag and just carry the viewfinder in my hand as I search for a composition, bringing the viewfinder up to my eye to check the framing. I do get some funny looks with people wondering if this is the latest miniature digital camera, or perhaps a very small monocular.
Large format shooters sometimes use a Linhof Multifocal Viewfinder in the same way, at different focal length settings to help them decide a composition and the necessary focal length lens, before setting up the camera. You can also do this with a cardboard cutout and a piece of string.
I recommend you all get a piece of string and a cardboard cutout in your preferred format, and go imagine some photos. 🙂
Beat me to it. I would imagine it would be quite interesting to shoot and actually not develop anything for a year and then examine the pics. Kinda like when you go on vacation and not see anything for the couple of weeks or however long.Originally Posted by Prest_400
I have done that, by processing the film a month (or more) later. I still have a roll unprocessed that I shot exactly a year ago; It will be interesting to see what was there and compare to my memory. Loaded but unprocessed.
I shot a roll of Tri-X that I will keep at the freezer, undetermined developing. Maybe 2 years.
I wouldn't venture into this, though.
That particular roll is E6, I kept it in the freezer because I should mail order it to some lab and I don't know if it's worth it for just a single roll.Beat me to it.
