One year, no film/ no storage card

I had my eyes CLA'd last month, added a new set of lenses too. The frames are black for stealth street looking.

I have done that, by processing the film a month (or more) later. I still have a roll unprocessed that I shot exactly a year ago; It will be interesting to see what was there and compare to my memory. Loaded but unprocessed.
I shot a roll of Tri-X that I will keep at the freezer, undetermined developing. Maybe 2 years.
I wouldn't venture into this, though.

Mine will need one soon. Infinity focus is lost, the lens has no fungus but it's scratched like hell.
Thankfully, narrow apertures give DoF for landscape shooting, and scratches are a minor issue, except at indoor places full of lights!

If I'm using the Hasselblad SWC I'll frequently leave the camera in the bag and just carry the viewfinder in my hand as I search for a composition, bringing the viewfinder up to my eye to check the framing. I do get some funny looks with people wondering if this is the latest miniature digital camera, or perhaps a very small monocular.

Large format shooters sometimes use a Linhof Multifocal Viewfinder in the same way, at different focal length settings to help them decide a composition and the necessary focal length lens, before setting up the camera. You can also do this with a cardboard cutout and a piece of string.

I recommend you all get a piece of string and a cardboard cutout in your preferred format, and go imagine some photos. 🙂

I use the voightlander zoom finder for that purpose 🙂

While I can see how this helped Kertesz make good photographs when he finally had a camera, how can I tell he wouldn't already have produced good stuff if he had HAD a camera earlier?

I got tricked into this scheme of doing things once in my life by taking up Latin as the first foreign language in school ("because it's then so much easier to learn romance languages"). With the end result that my French sucks, because I had only two years of it after Latin and English.

Never falling for that one again...

Beat me to it. I would imagine it would be quite interesting to shoot and actually not develop anything for a year and then examine the pics. Kinda like when you go on vacation and not see anything for the couple of weeks or however long.

That particular roll is E6, I kept it in the freezer because I should mail order it to some lab and I don't know if it's worth it for just a single roll.
The Tri-x was shot on a vacation (some family pics) along with it some kodachrome and E6. Nothing processed, still a month after.
I have to finish the last Kodachrome roll and I'll send it all to Switzerland once it's all finished. E6 will be sent together also. Tri-x is kept frozen because I don't have a decision towards B&W at the moment; because E6 is in a more critical situation and I prefer to concentrate on it at the moment.

So, that accounts for about 7 rolls on my memory; Ranging from a year to a month.
