Hi there,

I'm the new proud owner of the 90mm f/2.8 Tele-Elmarit. It didn't come with a hood and was wondering what kind of hood I would need ... Is there an official hood for this lens that I can find easly ? Or can I use a rubber hood ??

Any advice ?

Fred

This list should allow you to correctly identify the version TE that you have an the "proper" hood.

You could of course use an aftermarket hood. That will save you a little (maybe a lot of) money, but hoods for the 39mm are not the most common things. I did buy a rubber collapsible 39mm hood, but I don' t know how well that would do on a TE.

The lens originally came with a collpsible rubber Leitz lens hood. Mine rotted and fell apart after many years of use, but this inexpensive one from B&H will do the trick and keep your T-E wonderfully compact.
