-Thanks for a trip down memory lane; I used to have breakfast on the terrace in the last photo a few years ago. (My wife was sent abroad for a few months to nearby Rijeka by her employer; I came down to see her a couple of times, and we often went to Opatija during weekends.)

I'm glad you enjoyed the images. I am off to Rijeka this morning, then lunch in a 200 year old village house and then back to Opatija in the afternoon. The weather is fine, so I am looking forward to the photographic opportunities.

John, you should make your way down to Dalmatia, especially Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik....your cv lens would be perfect for all those medieval streets, city walls and buildings.
I have just spent 6 weeks in Zadar with nex and 16mm...it's my home town but I've been living in Melbourne for last 10 years...it is a nice time to visit Croatia. All the tourists are gone and the weather is still nice.

Thanks for the kind words. I have left Croatia after a bit of a working holiday so no real opportunities to see any other cities.
