I just got back my first roll of the Voitlaender ( I misspell it every time!!) slide film
Seems fine, it is the camera operator that needs help..
I only just got to where I could be happy with my black and white scans, and when I tried to scan this, it was impossible!
Turns out the flyback on my monitor (yes I still use a tube type monitor) was set too dim, so I was alway in film noir mode. Now with a monitor that calibrates, I can re-learn how to scan (explains why my prints looked like washed faded newspapers- I had to jack the grey point to make things look right on my monitor).
What has all this to do with the slide film? Just lowering expectations so you won't be so sad to see how bad I am at scanning at this point.
The film looks to be fuji, the arrow and numbers on the sprocket hole areas are the same, only there is no writing at all on the 'top' rebate, where the word FUJI usually is.
To my eye, the colors are right, when holding the slides up to the window lit by the afternoon sun or against a wall lit by an incandesent halogen lamp.
WHen scanned, things look much better with some blue pulled back..
