Just a fool for rocks
The price has been dropping for some time on the retail side or so I hear from you good folks here on RFF. The sudden drop will of course be in the used market. The retailers will hold on to the higher prices as long as possible to cover overhead.

I just paid $1000 for a used black X100 at B&H. A bit high but i'm not worried about future drops in price. It's such an amazing camera that I'm just going to enjoy using it for as long as possible.

Good deal...the black set includes some nice accessories, not just the color...

Nice to have all these options. Fujifilm hasn't done everything perfectly, of course, but they are on a path like no other manufacturer. It helps that they have superb glass; Sony hasn't figured that part out yet.
I beg to differ! The 50/1.8 OSS and 24/1.8 are absolutely breathtaking on the NEX.
Sure the cheapo lenses in the lineup suck, but Sony is going to be releasing new lenses this year, and Sigma's offerings are amazing too.

The new features of the X100s are very interesting for my photographing style and I may buy one in 2014. But I will not sell my X100 for under 500 bucks. It will then better become a backup body, just in case that... Like I have backup strategies for my analog RF gear.
