Does anyone know where I can obtain the optical cement required to reglue the prism in the M3 rangefinder?

I called up the company listed in on the link in Andrew Nemeth's FAQ, but they say their adhesive requires a specialised UVa source to cure, and that sunlight is insufficient.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I repaired a separated finder in a Canon P using Cytoseal-280. I don't remember any problems. It was recommended online somewhere. I bought it locally (Toronto) at Eftonscience. It wasn't cheap: 49.95 CDN. I just checked the bottle and it unfortunately has a broken cap. Time to throw away $50.00.

Your dentist has the light to cure certain fillings. If you have known yours as long as I have known mine, he will help you out.

There is always DAG.

I use a glue bought from micro-tools.com called Crystal Clear Glue. Cost is $5.95 and is cured by exposure to sunlight. This is a optical grade adhesive.

Hi,
Bond-loc glass adhesive from Maplin.co.uk is recommended for this op. It is a u/v curing synthetic which I have used frequently. You'll only need to resilver if it has degraded, this is not always the case. Costs about $5.00.
