That's hilarious.

I'm not sure what those Apugers expected. Given the track record of Ferrania thus far anyone who expected some on time delivery has got to have some delusions. I just continue on with the assumption that Ferrania is doing things and only time will tell.
 
Larry, it's a labor of love for sure!

Sure, it would be quick to accept a "Rattle Can" finish but I really hope to separate myself from those drippy jobs elsewhere online.

Even after 6+ coats I'm still finding brass along the edges and in some raised areas on the very top all while keeping the engravings clean of overspray.

I've accepted that I will need atleast as many coats to get to my desired finish.

I did score a dirt cheap ORAKO this weekend, I don't really need it with a new beam splitter, but it looks the part! (I'll likely pass it on in the classifieds soon)
 
I'm not sure there's a color that I like less than orange -- but I'm as eager to see the final project as anyone else. I can't but admire someone who lavishes that kind of attention on something, even if it's to an insane end. No, especially if it's to an insane end. Color me impressed.

Struggling to find time for this project.

Had a few days off recently but did pick up a extra work day and two new paid gigs while the weather was good some yard work as well.

About Bare Brass, I actually wanted to leave it naked, gf tried convincing me to leave it as well, but after cleaning I could see a few bright marks and scratches from the cleaning process and couldn't leave it alone... next time!
