Whilst doing my research using Tarikh (history of) At-Tabari, I came across this photo. Consequently Oregon State University Archives - see the Best of OSU.

If you can ignore the Orientalist description (for e.g., calling Muslims 'Mohammedan') in the description, the images are simply outstanding!You can download high resolution images from their flickr site.
