Hello,
I search an original zk 5cm 1.5.
I found a lens who is describe as an original lens.
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.fr/viewitem?itemId=160875114604&index=10&nav=WATCHING&nid=29255656998
So, is it a real or fake zk?
Sorry for my bad english language.

Fake from a well-known seller of fakes.
There are so many things wrong with it I don't even want to start.

And in all probability it was not an original.

"Moscowphoto" will have another, almost identical one, for sale shortly. "Sovdepia" usually has a couple of fakes every week too.

Thank you.
What is an original fake? I don't understand this. There are another ZK and i don't want to buy a fake.

It's a joke. There are a few eBay sellers whose "ZK" lenses almost always turn out to be fakes.
Unless you have expertise from someone you trust, one simply shouldn't buy an easily-faked item such as a ZK Sonnar on eBay. Buy it from someone you trust, or from eBay if someone knowledgeable that you trust proclaims it to be probably original. That takes longer but if you want quick you'd usually end up with fakes.

Red Robin was trying to be funny. No such thing as an "original fake." All are saying it is just a fake, not original. The auction seems to have ended.
C'est faux.

The camera world is littered with Leica wanna-bees .The WWII
clones are always out there. The best way to buy is from an established dealer. If it then turns out to be fake they will take the return. In some circles it's said: A happy customer tells five people . an unhappy one tells fifty.

I have a ZK that may or may nor be original. I showed it to Brian who told me that he would need to take it apart to really be able to tell which one it is. I preferred to leave the lens unopened and pretend that I may have a ZK.
Its no big deal really. Just don't overpay for it.

Well, well, well.
ANOTHER ZK from "moscowphoto". Same price, same ad. You'd almost think he owned the factory.

This listing is a good bet on a genuine ZK, with a price tag to match! Note the twin screws on the focus ring- these two screws are typical of the CZJ war-time sonnars in LTM and the ZKs.

Much more possible than others I've seen recently. Not sure about the lens coating or the optics. I would have to look at it "in person".
The lens coating is odd and possibly problematic, might not match or be swapped element. Maybe a Frankenstein. I'd also like to see a matching rear serial number on the optical block. It might have been constructed from various Contax mount ZK parts and later lens elements.
Just don't know on this one.

Yes, one never knows about such lenses until you have them in hand, and can take them apart. Always a crap shoot.

I can tell about 90% instantly just from the photos, but some are really tough.
