The resolving power of this lens seems exceptional, stopped down even just a bit.

The first shot is in a diner with natural light, hand held. The vertical window frame in the approximate center of the photo has a beaded curtain pull running next to it, which you can't see in the full frame shot.

Here's the crop showing the curtain pull. This was shot at f8, and the lens sharpens up even more at f11. This is from a 47MP sensor, so this lens doesn't fall short of the resolving power needed to keep up with modern sensors. Fair to say it might out resolve any film or almost any film stock. Not bad for $300.

Lovely photos, all. I've been meaning to get one of these, as it's been on my list for a long time. Someday I'll be thinking about it at the right time.

With good copy of Orion-15 and after it is CLA'd it is as good as twenty times more expensive Leica retro lens. Orion-15 is known to be sharp lens. At least. Not to mention how it renders.
But "good copy" is the key thing. Or at least correct hood. Without hood, not so "good copy" of Orion-15 is flaring like crazy.
