Does anyone know whether this film is available anywhere? I have some 16 and 35 motion picture film and the colour is lovely. I seem to remember buying some in Germany years ago but is it still available?

If you're talking about UT18, I used some in the days when ORWO was about the only film to be found in India. I recall it as grainy and a trifle over-saturated. Also, there was only one place in the country where it could be processed. NP22 and NP27 were B&W emulsions.

Now that is interesting, payasam. I used some reversal film years ago and the results were lovely, for me, a little on the "cold" side. The negative film I found was good but their reversal stuff is still great (love those blues)

Last ORWO I shot was at least 20 years ago.
The color negatives were grainy indeed, and I never had much luck with ORWOCHROME.
Old stock from some RFF member in (Eastern) Europe is your best bet.

Yes, you are correct..I think it was Agfa-Wolfen. I just love the colours..soviet colour movie film seems to have been mostly Orwo stock and it is quite remarkable.

USSR had their own production line called Svema (Свема). 30 years ago this and ORWO were pretty much the only films you can buy in most parts of Eastern Europe. The very occasional Agfa and Kodak disappeared minutes after hitting the store shelves.
