I picked up one of these lenses for a few $/£ a while ago. The lens body was somewhat worn but the glass was good. I am pleasantly surprised by how sharp it is. Colour rendition seems on the cool side. I would appreciate any information on date of manufacture. It looks single coated. Serial number is 521537.

The earliest mention I can find of Yashinon SLR lenses would place this one around
1960. The Pentamatic had a bayonet mount (unknown if it was shared with any
other company, but doubtful), which was dropped in favor of the M42 mount on the
Penta-J in 1962, but that one is shown with a 50mm f/2.
