I had a pair of glasses like that once. When I reversed them 180 degrees and put the side pieces over my ears, it solved the problem! Wonder if that would work for this guy? 8o)
What worries me most is not this Alfonse guy trolling, but that there are actually some amongst us that are finding these threads... makes you wonder what they're typing into the google search bar all the time..
The best parts of the troll threads are the answers. The one from Paul Grossman had me in tears!
This is probably Frank Granovsky from Vancouver. The LUG had a recent post that Frank might be over on the RFF. If it is Frank--he'll be asking more questions like--is the Summicron better than the Nikon 1.8? Or--his fav--where can I get a "pristine" (he loves that word) CL? Etc.
But the answers are grand! Thanks for letting us know about the thread---
I thought Alfonse was quite clever. Does his surname translate into English as anything symbolic? (I'm assuming that it is not his real name) he makes me aspire to being a troll myself.
I wonder if there is some website somewhere where all the trolls gather and pat each other on the back, or is it a solitary activity?
Great thread, i havent laughed so much in a long time. What do you mean a troll? Is that a code name for people who make up stuff like that? Do you think the question of this guy was serious?

in that definition i don't think somebody making up such a joke-"question" can be called a troll. The def says clearly that it's for igniting flame wars or at least pissing off people without a serious reason.
Alfonse is just foolong around and having a great laugh when reading the answers. Just as many of the repliers understood it's a joke.
I have to confess i also did it a few times, for my own enjoyment, but the i felt a bit bad since some folks took it really serious and tried to help me out on how to photograph brown bears at moonlight in the forest . 😱
