Heading to Boston and the Red Sox game next Tuesday. I would greatly appreciated a recommendation of a nice restaurant for a meal before the game, I am thinking around 3:30 or 4:00 sitting which will leave pleanty of time to get to the park without rushing. Not the best place in town, just something good, nice food and pleasant atmosphere.

Thanks guys.

Oh, yes, M6 35 and 50 will be in a Domke with me.

Ralph my favy Chinese restaurant Chef Changs House is very near Fenway just over the border in Brookline. 1/2 a block along Beacon St. toward Fenway is Sol Azteca, OK Mexican food, and a few doors yet nearer to Fenway is The Elephant Walk, a truly excellent restaurant. You can park your car in the vicinity of Fenway and walk to any of these places. All are on Beacon St.

I would nip down to say hello (I live close by) but I'm working in Nashua NH at the moment. 🙁

Hi,

The Elephant Walk will be a treat, just not sure if tey are open that early.
There is a Steakhouse in the Landmark center just up Brookline St.

Ciao Joerg

The Elephant Walk opens at 5, that is a thought, looks great.

There used to be a great little Italian Place in the North End which I just loved. The last time I went looking for it, years ago, it was closed. It opened at about 4:30 or so and only had 8 tables. Food was great and the prices were very reasonable. I can't even think of the name anymore. I am sure I could walk to it and find the building it was in, just a bit from QM, that would have been a great place. It has been 6 years or so since I have been to Boston to enjoy a day.

What type of food do you like? There is an excellent Indian restaraunt (India Quality Restaraunt) in Kenmore Square right near Fenway Park. I've never been in the place, but my zone system class (New England School of Photography) orders takeout from there every Thursday and it is excellent.

I am not a curry person. I have Indian food every once in a while, there is an excellent Indian restaurant one town over from me, but I don't know if I would have it away from home.

Italian, anything simple, someplace to enjoy the food and converation. I am not necessary looking for someplace fancy. Your comfortable old reliable place may be a good description of what I am looking for. I like to stay away from the franchise type restaurants.
