I was released from hospital this morning. Had a heart attack on Saturday and an angioplasty the same day. One artery was 99% blocked -- the blockage was removed and a cardiac stent inserted to keep the artery open.

Now it's rehab time. I will probably not be on RFF as much in the next while, but wish you all 'good light'!

Gene

p.s. having glanced quickly at all the threads I missed, it looks as if Yossarian and Byuphoto are also following in Joe's footpath ... keep well, everyone.

Gene, do take care of yourself.

It is amazing how quickly care can be provided, but I we all owe ourselves the respect to support our own health.

I guess this is a reminder to me as well as anyone else.

I will be thinking of you and hoping for your quick return to good health.

Gene, gklad to hear you're feeling well. Same thing happened to my dad in the end of october... It's the kind of thing that makes people realize about how much our relatives are important.. especially when you live 2000km away from your family.

I wish you the very best for now, and a healthy life too 🙂
Be well!

*waves his kiev at you* 🙂

If there can be any "bright side" to this - it's March 1st so we all know that springtime is not far away. Perhaps with some warm weather you'll be able to get out walking with your RF as part of that rehab.

Good luck!

deja vu all over again!!

that was me this past october.

i'm so glad to hear that you are ok.

if there is anything that i can do/say, whatever, please let me know.

listen to the doctors, they will want you to walk walk walk and you're already pretty good at that.
diet etc. it's a learning curve from here.

keep in touch, even if it's just a few words every & then.

Gene !

What to say, taking care of yourself is your first occupation now, so take it easy, and thanks for letting us know !

Be sure to be a good boy now, no more emotions like looking at photos of black M2s, ok ? 😉

Un abrazo,

Oscar

Hey Gene,

I am glad to hear that you are doing better now. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Take care,

Gene, if it's any consolation, I had a massive heart attack as well. That was 16 years ago, and I'm still taking photos. The Doc's are getting good at this.
Strive to be happy, Art
