Gene - what a shock - I can't get on RFF during the day at present so I'm quite taken aback by all of this. Please take care of yourself, follow doctors orders and get well soon!

I've been inspired by your wonderful pics with HP5+/HC-110 and have decided to try that combo for a while to see if I like the look of it. 🙂 Please try to check in here occasionally and tell us if you are doing OK!

Take care, Gene, we're all rooting for you. I, like others, would never have heard about Port Credit if it weren't for you and your great photographs.

In 2001 I was taking my morning one mile uphill hike when I noticed a slight pain in my left collarbone. I attributed this to the fact that I sleep mostly on my left side and occasionally awake with a stiff neck. Just then my cell phone rang and I stopped to answer it. After the call was over I noticed the slight pain was gone. I commenced hiking uphill again and after a few minutes the very minor pain returned. I stopped walking. The pain went away.

I must have done this three or four times before I convinced myself the pain was not related to sleeping on the left side. I called my doctor, Peggy Avina, a good friend, and described the symptoms. Dr. Avina has a way with words. "Ted, get your skinny ass down to the Copper Queen hospital right away."

The next day an angiogram and angioplasty revealed that one of my coronary arteries was 90% blocked. They inserted a stent. I now have 100% flow through it and began to do something I had previously avoided: exercise. I ride a bicycle 10 miles every other day and feel great. According to Dr. Avina, if I hadn't heeded that first small warning sign, I could have suffered a severe heart attack. Whew!

So, Gene, get well, and when the doctors give you the go-ahead, start walking. I do that too. Keeps the cardiovascular system toned.

Best wishes,

Ted

Gene: I started another thread because I hadn't seen this one, so my apologies to you and all for that. Don't know why it didn't pop up on my "new posts" when hit the sight tonight. Private email sent, take care.

Glad that you caught it before it became alot worse. Get some rest and get better, I expect you to be around here for a long time yet to come.

it's a good thing you're a tough guy, Gene.. and a good thing you caught it in time.. relax a bit.. hit the reset button on those little priorities that suddenly don't seem so important.. and be glad you're still around.. cuz we're glad you are 🙂

Take care and get well soon. I had to deal with health problems two years ago, and with the advances in medicine things are so much better than a few years ago.

Best wishes,

Leo

Gene... wow! I'm so so glad you are posting. It means you are around. I noted your lack of activity and put it down to you taking a trip or something. Little did I know.

Obviously I want to see you with a Yashica Electro 35 GSN in your hands this year.

best for a speedy recovery and solid health going forward
Jan

Just read the full thread, an Argus C3 ? Well we can do a GSN and C3 day...! ;- )
