OT: Help on uploading images to gallery

This is my first post here and need assistance with uploading images to the gallery.

I've prepared a number of B&W images at 640 pixels on the long dimension in jpg format. I'm attempting to upload on a fast DSL connection and have done this to other galleries before with no problem. I created a new gallery called Editorial B&W and added the description. At this point I subscribe to the gallery and the popup tells me that I will receive a confirmation email that I never have received. Then, I go to upload images and select the images in the browser from a folder on my desktop. I go to the bottom and click send. I've tried a dozen times and allowed up to three hours to upload with no luck. My files are only 90-160K and should go fairly fast. What's wrong?

i just took a look and there is no gallery set up yet.
likely you need to wait for that email.

when did you register?
if it still is not up by tomorrow send a p.m. to jorge, our fearless leader.

Thanks for the help. I registered on the 13 but still have not received an email. Am I corerect that there is no charge for the gallery space?

I got my e-mail within minutes. Did you enter your adress correctly? If so, it might have been caught in your provider's spamfilter. Maybe you should try registering again, using a different username and e-mail adress. Nobody has sent me a bill for my gallery yet.....(not that I would mind, it is a very nice site)

What now?

I just reregistered as x-ray and guess I don't understand how the gallery thing works. I've searched for info on the gallery but haven't found anything that would help. What's the procedure. I received the confirmation to activate my registration to the forum but that's all. I guess I'm getting a little dense in my old age.
