OT, I feel like such a Teenager!!!

My son beat me to the mark, his aunty bought him a U2 special edition ipod. Big hit with him, we are both U2 fans. I think he was influenced in the womb. He's only 12.

MP3 players are the best. I mean it. My IP*D is one of my favorite things - and comes with me everywhere I go. Especially when taking pictures.

I have ripped everything I have in the house - which amounts to hundreds and hundreds of CDs, over the past couple years and, with high quality rippings at 320 KBPS, I don't see the need to keep the CDs around, so they are off to used CD stores. Or to my friends and family for whom the MP3 thing has not become a thing.

I don't download music from those file sh**ing sites, though. I did back before it was illegal. . . . back before the law clarified its illegality loosed the predatory R**A on the public. But most of that junk was when i was in college, and I have grown out of the rap and dance music for the most part. For me, that was an effect of growth - or maybe I just got boring in my old age (24).

We would do well to watch what we say here, though, seeing as RFF is a public site for viewing, and those predatory governmental agencies troll through the digital universe for people and sites to stomp dead or just to give hell to. PM the useful stuff, if you know what I mean. Protect RFF from unpleasant lurking.
