I hope someone here will be able to answer my question.
There is a famous shot, B&W of course, taken in Rome in ~1951 of a young, attractive American woman passing through a gantlet of Italian men who are leering at her. She has a pained expression on her face. Beautiful shot, probably taken with a Leica.
I'm afraid I don't know the photographer, but it's likely to be someone quite famous. Any idea?

Ruth Orkin. I'm pretty sure she used a Contax. The subject was a model. She and Orkin were trying to put together a story about travelling alone in Europe.

YES!! Thank you VictorM and EliasK. I wonder now where I can get a reproduction of that one. I ask because my (Italian) barber was recently given a mounted copy, perhaps ~16x20.
