OT: Multiple GAS-attack related vital failure today!

my wage arrived today, and as we approach Christmas, I went to my local retailer, hunting for a Kiev 85/2 Jupiter-9 or 28/6.5 Orion-15... nuts. They had a M39 J-9, two M39 Orion-15, and of course those two M39 Russar-MR2 20/5.6 ... Bad luck.

I go check for a gift to my father... "ummmm... nice Pentacon Six TL! and oh.. what is near... ooh! a 50/4 MC Flektogon... ooh... a 180/2.8 Sonnar... oooh! and look this cute 300/4.5 Telemegor from Meyer-Optik Görlitz ... hey! hello! I'd like to buy this this and that... oh and a prism also.. what?? you are giving 30% rebates!!! OK let's talk serious!"

half an hour later....

"hello! I'll take 4 rolls of Neopan 400CN in 120 .. umm 4 rolls of Neopan 100 Acros in 120 .. something more, sir? yes, please give me 2x Ektachrome E100GX in 120, two rolls of Ilford PAN 400 in 135, and a roll of Ektachrome 400X in 135 .. is that all ? yes!"

ok so to be short... I've bought a "lot of gear". I'm sure when I'll be older and richer, that'll sound like a joke, but that's the price of a passion for now and for my "tiny" 27yrs old!

So I offered myself a nifty-looking Carl Zeiss Jena DDR MC Flektogon 50/4 (latest type) and a Meyer-Optik Görlitz 300/4.5 Telemegor ... and my daddy will get a Pentacon Six with prism, 80/2.8 Zeiss Biometar-II and 180/2.8 Sonnar... 😀

I'm all happyyyyyy!!! I just feel *SO* sorry for my Kiev-2A 🙁 I wish I had offered him a little lens *sighs*

I wish I had a store like that one near here. All they seem to have locally are digital P&S's and very costly SLR equipment.

Even the stores that did have used equipment never had stuff like that, and they have recently stopped selling used gear.

It's very nice to shop in some of the shops with old cameras in Prague, you can't leave them without some "new" camera 😀

Oh I'd love to have a HUGE meeting with all of you guys and girls here in Prague we'd go wreak havoc in the stores 😀

I succumbed again today, I bought myself YET another TTL prism for the Pentacon Six ... damn it!!! I almost bought a Bessa-L body, it was quite for cheap .. around 120 € 2nd hand//

gosh! I'm going to be out of cash again... seems like I'm going to sell my Zorki-S and my Praktica PLC2 with its two lenses! *giggles*

How much does an Pentacon six with 80/2.8 go for? I was thinking about getting (I am always thinking about getting something 🙂 ) a Kiev 60. Are there differences between these 2 cameras?
