On August 5th, Leica announced that Dieter Uckele, an industrial engineer, who had been acting as Leica Photography's Head of Finance and Controlling was resigning by "mutual agreement". He is being replaced by Robert Feij, a financial specialist.
The latest info that I could find on Feij said he held a similar position with the Bobst Group (packaging materials) in 2000.
It appears that Leica is FINALLY getting expert, hands-on, internal guidance for its finances.
