I'm going to the midnight show. Unfortunately for the Canonet, I'm taking the Nikon to the show due to the faster lens, but I should have photos of the general mayhem and madness that goes along with this kind of thing in a week or so. Color film, though, which kind of bites in a way since I wanted black and white, but what can you do? I have access to high speed color, not black and white. Thought I'd mention it.

Should be a good movie, though. Kind of excited. We've had our tickets for three weeks so it isn't as though we have to wait at all, but it'll be fun waiting in the line and seeing all the people.

May the Force be with me. 😛

have a great time, and you can tell me afterwards if it is going to be as big a dissapointmet as the first two (don't get me started on them)

just promise me you won't spoil who the emporer really is for me, i've been waiting 27 years to know. 😉

Oh, come on!! It's obvious who the Emperor is...watch again Episode I (you'll have to endure Jar Jar). I wonder if Lucas removed all dialogue because it would drag the action to a halt, just like he was sooo concerned in Episode II with those incredibly long 7 minutes he cut because it just...oh oh...I'm rambling.

Happy shooting Stephanie! (I hope I can do the same)

After the first Star Wars (Now Episode 4), my college room-mate and I spent about a week blasting each other with a Vivitar 283 and Honeywell 782 (?) Potato Masher. Blinded by the Light.

Have fun, it's supposed to be a good one.

I'm not supposed to know this yet <vbfg>, but I'm going tomorrow. Somebody I know has bought out one of the first showings tomorrow for a promotional thing, so it's essentially a private showing. (I'm supposedly sworn to secrecy on this.) 🙂 🙂 🙂

I hadn't really thought of taking a camera, but I do carry a small one almost everywhere I go, so I may just take one of the real cameras instead. 🙂 I don't expect any costumes or major crowds, since this will be mostly salespeople and clients, and far be it from me to take any photos of anything I'm not supposed to take, but you never know ... 🙂

indeed jar jar must die why couldn't he have been the pointless character with no dialogue instead of Darth Maul??? WHY????

...and i know who the emporer is, really, i was just being mildly ironic 😉

man, i'm going to have to go see this movie before everyone I know spoils it for me, though because i don't really watch tv, i've done a good job of avoiding previews...

And I'm still excited about seeing the original Star Wars at the Pacific Cineramic Dome in Hollywood!
I think they used candles to project through hand-cranked film back then, eh?
Where's my walker now???

The attack of the clones is well worth it Francisco ! I was happily surprised with it after the "%("·)! Jar-Jar-thing in the first one :bang:

Darth Maul death's and appearance was a bit let's say... brief ? Mainly with all the fanfare they put in that character on the trailers for episode 1.

But then, do you remember the most stupid death of the whole saga ? With such an important role for Jango-Fet on the second episode, one would expect somewhat of a more noble death for his son Bobba on the return of the jedi...

I still chuckle when I recall about it 😀

My son (5 yo) is sooo caught up in Star Wars. I just bought the Clone Wars this weekend and we watched it. I can see a grand 10 CD super special edition set out for Christmas with 2 months of extra never seen before footage from all the movies.

I have to judge how dark the transformation to Vader is to determine if we go to see this movie in the theater or wait to see it at home where I can control the viewing a little more.

The Force is with us. I wish I had NOT gone into Barnes&Noble and looked at the "making of" book. Never again! Mind pure must be, sayeth Yoda..... but will James Earl Jones be the voice of Vader....?

Yes, he was.

The movie was really good and well done. We had crappy seats but it was still worth going just for the sheer greatness of the whole night. When the Lucasarts logo came on the screen everyone cheered. Someone stupidly pulled the fire alarm and gave us an impromptu 15 minute intermission so that we could all go to the bathroom and get more snacks half way through the movie. I didn't get any photos, though, because we weren't in line long enough. The line for seating was all the way around the other side of the theater.

It was a good experience. Now if only Batman Begins is this good.
