Dave: You need to go cold chicken. That's not quite as big and hard as cold turkey. Here's how cold chicken works:

Order ZI from Tony or any of the wonderful sponsors here. (Just trying to be fair.)

Choose a few of your M lenses for extended testing.

Box up ALL other RF gear. I will pick it up from you; no need to ship it, especially since it would involve customs.

Live with the ZI and your chosen lenses for a year, while I keep all your other RF gear company, exercised and in good hands.

Please note that there will be no charge for this service. I will support your decision after a year, and I will always be just a phone call away to be supportive, to listen to your concerns and empathize with you if you experience pain and suffering.

After a year, if you decide you need all that useless gear, you will be reunited with it, but I'm sure this therapy will cure you.

Just PM me with date, time and directions. If nothing else, I am a compassionate person.

When I see Tony's face, I think to myself "There is a guy who LOVES cameras. I wished he lived next door to me. We would just me grabbing different cameras every weekend and going off using them". But I still blew more money than that getting the Latest SP. But Tony would have done the same thing, I know it.

Welcome to my world. I live about 45 minutes away. Two times ago, I went and he showed me an original MP kit. Last time it was the 15mm Zeiss ZM lens. I am going tomorrow for some lighting stuff, who knows what he will show me.

So, a couple days ago I received my birthday gift from my grandpa (its a little less than a month early, but he always sends stuff early because he's worried we won't get it in time). It was a check for a pretty hefty sum for my 21st birthday. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so like any sane person, I read this thread and bought a black ZI from Tony Rose today. :bang: I should have it by Wednesday. 😀

I've seriously never had such a sudden, immense GAS attack.

I still have plenty left over, thats going into savings. That was my one splurge.

It's your duty to buy a black Ikon and a couple of lenses. Why? Well not long after you buy it, you'll feel guilty that you spent money that should have gone elsewhere, like on food or utilities. Then, you'll decide that you must sell some stuff. It will be the older less expensive stuff, of course, and that will allow the less well heeled to exercise their GAS. They in turn will feel guilty etc ......... Eventually, somebody will pick up a beat up but serviceable RF for no money, so everybody wins. So as you see, ITS YOUR DUTY TO RFF. Go for it. 😀
