I rediscovered an album buried in a Flickr account that I have not been using since the Smugmug takeover. It contains street pictures taken in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capoital city of the Sultanate of Brunei. Here are a few of these shots, enjoy!

Thae pictures were taken with a Sigma DP1, whcih I bought new at that time (around 2008-2009). I am not proud of the processing (I went a bit overenthusiastic with Silver Efex) and I will try to find the raw files to reprocess them correctly.

Checked on large screen, but images are small. They are well processed, IMO. Not just sterile digital BW.

DP1 is still unsurpassed digital compact for the street, IMO. Because of the manual focus wheel. Too bad Sigma dropped it.

it's a 10 yr old AKB48 song, 'Becoming a Sakura Tree', with an odd and fake story of a death of an AKB48 member Matsui Jurina 松井珠理奈 and she's only 16 in 2011!...well, in 'World Order''s MV 'Have a Nice Day', Ms Matsui was the 'main purpose' of the song...

Many AKB48's songs are very good, different song writers wrote for them, but the lyrics were always written by Akimoto Yashushi 秋元 康, the creater and producer of AKB48...beautiful song, great MV...

2016 beautiful rendition by Takeda Kaori, a song written by The Ventures 50 yr ago, the MV was from NHK,s docuDrama '京都人の密かな愉しみ' (2015)
There are many renditions in last 30 some years, this is the best one...i'm shocked that this song was written by 'Ventures'!
