ok, another gear thread...
from all the gear that you have ever owned, rf or not, what would you choose to use, one camera and one lens. be specific.
this would be the gear that you would take to the grave if permitted, the gear that, if you were never gonna get to use anything else, you would use this knowingly...forever.
mine boils down to a choice between the minolta cle with a 40mm rokkor and a canon p with the canon 35/2.8, chrome with infinity lock.
for my ultimate choice the canon p & 35/2.8 wins!!

One camera, one lens for an eternity?
For the sake of versatility, it would be my Canon 20D and a 17-40 L lens.

Leica M2 with Canon 35/1.8. Or maybe Rolleiflex 3.5E with Planar. Or...what was the question again? Grave? I have no plans for dying in the near future.

Oh jeeze; why do you do this to me?
Oly 35SP or ... OM with 35/2.8. It would change day-by-day.

If I'm allowed to have batteries: Nikon F4s + AF-Nikkor 28-105.
No batteries: Nikon F plain prism + Nikkor 55/3.5 micro.

My Canonet QL17.
Because I didn't know, or care, about 'bokeh' or lens testing back then. All I cared about was, 'can I afford another bulk load of Tri-X this paycheck?'

Don't every one laugh at once but my Canonet QL-17. It takes great pics. easy to use, fixed 40mm1:7 lens is pretty fast, and it rides shotgun with me in my truck everyday. Also can fit in my coat pocket. And it's also
.
But I can't believe you didn't pick one of those lovely Zeiss Icons you have.

I don't think I've owned enough gear to really choose yet!

Easy, the kit that's sitting in front of me right now: my father's black M4 with 50mm Summicron. It's no contest (even after the M6 shows up in the mail, should be here by Monday...)

greg, i love the zi cameras and lenses.
the nice thing about fantasy is that i don't have to live with it.
that being said, the canon p and that little 35/2.8 lens will always be a favourite.
