Purely out of curiosity (I swear I didn't let GAS get the better of me! 😀 😱), how much would it cost to ship an Olympus XA with flash out of the UK to the US?

seriously - have you not heard of:

ups.com
fedex.com
dhl.com

e-mailing the seller? no offense here, but are you seriously asking us to look that up for ou?

Or find out how much to ship via the Royal Post or what ever the UK postal service is called. Like the USPS you may find that is the cheapest fastest way for shipping.

Who can help with a website for the UK postal service?

I've heard of them. I also have first-hand experience paying the "brokerage fees" after accepting a package shipped using fedex. I think Joe paid almost 1/3rd of an items value to have the luxury of the seller ship via UPS and not stand in line at a post office.

I have never had to pay an "extra amount" for packages shipped to me using the Post Office. Air Letter Post is usually reasonable, the overseas equivalent of Global Priority is fast and allows the item to be insured. Rates went up recently, it cost $30 to ship a Nikkor 55/1.2 to Spain using Global Priority. Air Letter Post would be ~$15.

I will never buy a package from overseas that is shipped using a service that "hits the Recipient up".
