out of focus pics

Hi,

I got a Minolta Hi Matic 9 a while back from ebay. It came with a misaligned RF and stuck shutter, so it was tinkered with a bit. I took a couple of test rolls, and I can't for the life of me figure out why majority of my pictures are out of focus. There are two or three that came out ok, not supersharp but fine, the rest are unacceptable. Many of the pics didn't have ANYTHING in the picture in focus, most of the were taken at infinity although I can't really remember the settings of each picture individually.

So anyway, do you think the RF might still be a little off and fixable, or is there something wrong with the lens? Attaching some pics...

I took it to a repair guy, and he let me look while he was fixing it, we both thought it was fixed, but when I was using it, I'm not too sure it's perfectly aligned.

Thanks, Dave. I hope I can still find the receipt for the service warranty. The adjustment needed the topplate off the last time...

If you scale focus (use lens barrel markings) instead of using the RF, is it still off? This may tell whether the trouble is with the lens of the RF.

Yeah, the scale is off. I tried focusing with my Oly RC, then the HiMatic, and the HiMatic's focus was a longer distance than actual/the RC.
