Out of Focus - still meaningful

Of those, I like your first one Peter.

Two from me:

I think that taking pictures out-of-focus is a technique that if done intentionally is hard to master and even when done well seems to be rarely appreciated. I am a fan of the style.

I have one that is very much loved by the subject and his family.
Just a bit behind him.
Crown Graphic with the basic 135mm. Top mount RF which is not accurate atm.

I made a lens out of a plastic binocular toy that was guaranteed to make blurry pictures. Here's a set from an afternoon with a friend and her bird:

Sunrise, Florida. First morning of vacation, and the kids were excited to be at the seashore. I missed focus in my effort to capture the moment, but I like the photo all the same.

A very OOF shot taken with an old Canon 58mm f1.2 FL lens to see how pedestrians in a mall would look if shot completely blurred. I rather like the effect which is very abstract though I must admit that while its fun to see how far one can go with such experiments I think I may have gone a bit too far here - I am not sure it is meaningful to others though it is to me.

And I have always been partial to this one which I deliberately blurred then blurred more in post to create an impressionistic city scape.

And this was shot as a reflection in a stainless steel art installation rather like the famous Chicago "bean" for our American friends. Again I confess adding to the blur in post to take it to the max. That's me in the centre frame getting the shot.
